Welcome to Newduereview! My name is Brent Chauvin and I will be your webmaster for your stay. Newduereview dot com was registered in late 2017. The original intention was to learn affiliate marketing through this blog. This coincided with a sales job I took on after graduation in October of 2017. The sales gig had me calling leads generated through affiliate blogs marketing nootropics. I became a professional salesperson and was compensated well. Unfortunately, the gig didn’t last long. The sales team dissolved for reasons beyond my control. I faced a choice to find new work or do something else.

I chose to do something else. I set out in the fall of 2018 to learn affiliate marketing on my own. I did a lot of work on the site and wrote a lot of articles about how to do affiliate marketing. I was writing about marketing technology: tech gadgets, pre-made websites, and help services to leverage your time. I almost got involved with Amway and World Wide leaders by accident. It’s a funny a story maybe I will tell you later.

From now on the website will be discussing topics in music, general art topics, critical theory in music, sales and marketing, content writing fundamentals, some philosophy, and I may even get to talk about my secret love for professional wrestling! I will elect that I can talk about anything else. After all, it’s my Newdue blog.

The website will allow me to focus on selected topics of personal interest. Expect a lot of weird topics that no one asked for. I am hoping that if I find it interesting, someone else will too.

Expect prose that is agitated and aggressive as I engage with social commentary on today’s culture. There is a lot of crazy things happening in the 21st century, especially in music and art. I wanna talk about all of it.

What makes me qualified to talk about music of all things? I have a bachelor of fine arts in music composition earned with distinctions from a major university in British Columbia Canada. To earn the degree I studied music composition and composed for professional musicians.

Before that, I studied jazz performance before changing programs to pure music composition. I am also an accomplished electric bass player for over 20 years. I performed and wrote original music with the music group The Day He Quit between 2007 and 2013. In that time I recorded a full-length album of ten songs, played more shows than I can count.

During university I composed a lot of chamber music. Currently, my music is available through Mainland Empire Records on Youtube.

Additionally, you can listen to The Day He Quit’s first and only album right on this page.

You may even be able to catch me on social media on Quora and Twitter. If you want to creep on me through Linkedin, go ahead. Click the “IN” icon at the bottom.
