I composed this piece of music in the fall of 2016. This is for the Bb Trumpet, Trombone and Piano as a trio. It was meant to be for a local music festival, but the music never made it to the stage. 3 years later I am finalizing the music as much as I can so the world can hear it.
My goal for the music was to capture some elements of the video game Metroid and create elements of space. David Bowie also passed away earlier in the year, and I wanted to pay homage to a great composer of popular music with this music.
Composing the music was a mix of emotion and intrigue. I was in my last year of composition at University and my skills had peaked somewhat. I hope this music can have a place in the live acoustic world, but for now it remains as a digital relic. Enjoy.
