This album was written and recorded in the spring of 2017, May to be exact. I wanted to compose simple jazz heads and record electric drums and bass over it.
My understanding of a jazz head is that it is a melody that can fit on a single page, and is accompanied by chords. A lead sheet if you will. In this case the music is heavily swung to fit in with the old jazz style.
My goal was to compose a melody that could fit on a page and be expanded upon if played live. While this will never be performed live, (unless someone chooses to do so), these digital songs will remain as blue prints of what could be.
